Overview
Security cooperation teams deployed to various countries throughout the world receive customized pre-deployment training. Combat Security Cooperation Team pre-deployment training falls under the umbrella of the Marine Corps Predeployment Training Program (PTP). The Marine Corps Training System is standards based and performance oriented. ATG/ATCs provide pre-deployment training and interim assessment for foreign security force Service-level advisors. ATG and the ATCs are also responsible for ensuring security cooperation teams deployed to various countries throughout the world receive customized pre-deployment training.
The PTP consists of four blocks of training occurring at home station and at other training venues. Marine Expeditionary Forces (MEF) are responsible for conducting Block I and II training which builds individual skills at the Marine’s home station. ATCs assist the MEFs in the conduct of specified Block I and II training at home station. ATG conducts Block III advisor-specific training and the Block IV Mission Rehearsal Exercise (MRX).
